ABOUT US
The Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre along with its dedicated Rehabilitation Center, was established in the year 2000 by Dr. D.K. Audikesavulu, with the divine blessings of Sri Satya Sai Baba. Since its inception, the Institute has been committed to providing inclusive and compassionate healthcare and rehabilitation services. Under the expert guidance of our esteemed Chairperson, Dr. Kalpaja D.A, the Vydehi Rehabilitation Center has grown into a nurturing environment that currently supports over 100 differently-abled students, empowering them through tailored care and Learning. In line with its mission, the Special Education Program was launched in November 2007. This initiative offers structured educational and therapeutic support for children aged 5 to 16 years with various impairments including:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Down Syndrome
- Cognitive Impairment
- Visual Impairment
- Multiple Disabilitie
Our goal is to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services that promote independence, dignity, and holistic development for every child, enabling them to reach their fullest potential.

OUR PROGRAMS
Day School
School Programme (9:30 am to 1 pm)
This program focuses on the stages of development in a child’s life and their needs at different stages. The school cultivates a deep bond between the teacher and the child to facilitate learning, thus providing a warm, non judgemental home like environment which helps children develop skills appropriate to their developmental stages.
The program extends from 9:30 am to 1 pm with functional academics, training on activities of daily living, self help skills, pre-vocational training. The IEP drawn out will prioritize the requirements of the child and will be planned keeping in mind the direction the child intends to take.
Extra curricular activities like adapted physical education, music, dance, art are included in curriculum.
Bus services are provided.
One on one programme
Afternoon : 2 pm to 4 pm
Children irrespective of ability level, need education. One on one sessions becomes extremely essential for systematic education and empowering students who struggles in group environment.
The IEP ensures the students receive the educational support they require to thrive academically and socially. The tailoring educational experience address their strengths, weaknesses and learning styles.
Group Sessions
In an objective to develop social and emotional well being of students with disability three group programmes are conducted on Saturdays based on the age of the child.
Junior group for ages 5 to 8 focusing on pre academic skills like visual perception, auditory perception, sequencing, labelling, sorting and grouping. Play way method of learning put in a sequential way done both in cluster and large group.
Senior group for ages 8 to 13 focusing on pre learning activities like attention, eye contact, sitting tolerance, imitation, compliance, co operation turn taking and on task behavior.
Super Senior group for 13 and above focusing on expressive arts through drama, role play and story telling.
