Music Therapy

Music therapy is controlled music experience that is used to facilitate positive change in human behaviour. It has been found useful for cancer patients, oncology cases, pain and palliative care, children with attention deficit or autism. Music's soothing effect is also utilized to ward off depression, to promote movement, to calm patients and ease muscle tension during therapy sessions.

It may involve listening to music or playing an instrument or moving to music beats or singing. Many a times its being used along with the occupational therapy sessions, thus utilising its beneficial effects through a multi therapeutic approach.
